Procurement Manager

Job Location : Abu Dhabi

Reports To Chief Executive Officer

Summary :

• Responsible for the overall Procurement activities of the company.

Responsibilities :

• In charge of Procurement and purchasing works related to the materials.
• Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements.
• Subcontracting and awarding to subcontractors.
• Site logistics
• Technical and engineering submittals to the client along with further coordination.
• Follow up the progress of the nominated subcontractors.
• Arranging procurement Logs and S/C’s Logs monitoring and updating, management progress reports.
• Following up deliveries, coordination with the Qs/Contracts and Accounts Departments for payment certificates and commercial invoices.
• Coordination with Engineering and Site Departments in regards to the Sub-Contractors Materials submittals and approvals.
• Work closely with the legal department to ensure contract terms are favorable to the company.
• Attend meetings with the legal team, engineering team, vendors and suppliers.
• •Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
• Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
• Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
• Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
• Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
• Preparing procurement reports.
• Minimizing issuance of LPOs and related administration costs.
• Monitoring of issued LPOs for undelivered / partially delivered items & close it periodically in full coordination with Commercial Department.
• Assist Tendering and estimation & cost control department during the tendering stage Procuring turnkey & LS contracts agreement.
• Prepare & submit a Procurement strategy in coordination with the concerned department for approval.
• Recommend the required enhancement in the procedures and processes of the procurement department as per the approved DOA and market needs.

Requirements :

• B.Sc. / B.E. Engineer with minimum 20 years' experience as a Procurement Manager in a building construction company.
