The Scaffolding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the erection, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding structures on construction or industrial sites. This role ensures that all scaffolding work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines, while managing the scaffolders and coordinating with other site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the scaffolding team in daily activities, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.
Plan and oversee the erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolding systems according to engineering specifications.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, CISRS).
Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding structures for stability and safety hazards.
Identify and address any safety issues or risks promptly to prevent accidents.
Maintain documentation related to scaffolding activities, inspections, and safety compliance.
Coordinate with site managers, engineers, and other contractors to align scaffolding work with project schedules.
Train and mentor scaffolders on safety procedures and best practices.
Ensure the availability and proper use of scaffolding materials and equipment.
Report progress, incidents, or delays to management.
Preferred Qualifications:
ITI / Vocational qualification or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Certification in scaffolding (e.g., CISRS, OSHA training).
Proven experience in scaffolding supervision on construction or industrial sites.
Strong knowledge of scaffolding materials, techniques, and safety standards.
