A Mechanical QC Inspector ensures that mechanical components and systems meet quality standards and project specifications. They inspect materials, conduct dimensional checks, review welding and fabrication work, and document findings to ensure product compliance with engineering drawings and industry codes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished mechanical components
Verify dimensions, tolerances, and mechanical specifications using tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Inspect welds, piping, structural steel, and other fabricated items
Review quality documents such as material test certificates, calibration records, and inspection reports
Report non-conformities and follow up on corrective/preventive actions (NCR/CAPA)
Coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, ISO, API, etc.)
Maintain detailed records of inspections and testing
Participate in internal and external audits as required
Ensure safety and quality policies are followed at all times
