Major Responsibilities:
Lead a team of field engineers for the review of design, design calculations, materials, work plans, safety plans, quality plans, procurement plans, TQs, FCDs, technical submittals and RFI’s for ongoing work activities. Review, interpret contract documents and construction plans and offer guidance to other field engineers.
Review Contractors design and construction submittals, including work method statements, safety plans, quality plans and traffic control plans for compliance with RC requirements.
Perform the following onsite operations and inspections for Contractors, but not limited to monitoring Quality Control, Construction Audits, Technical Review and Construction Site Training.
Design and/or Construction experience in projects such as Major Buildings, Educational and Recreational Facilities, Hospitals, Roads and Bridges, Site Preparation, Site Development, Site Infrastructure, Airports, Ports and Pipelines, Electrical Substations, Pumps and Lift Stations.
Subject Matter Expert in respective discipline with a strong understanding of Quality in Construction, construction means, methods and requirements, including experience reviewing contractors’ construction related documents for compliance with contract documents.
Ability to review designs, assess the adequacy of Engineering proposals, Design Change Notices (DCNs) and the responses from Engineering to Field Change Documents (FCDs), Technical Submittals (TSs) and Technical Queries (TQs) and able to solve the interface problems
Be able to review and prepare correspondence, reports, analysis and the ability to deliver effective presentations about construction/engineering related issues.
Provide leadership and guidance to the Field Engineers to improve contractor’s performance with respect to the required quality standards stated in the contract documents.
Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Engineering degree in Civil / Structural with a minimum 8 to 10 years of combined design and construction experience.
Excellent oral & written communication skills in English, presentation skills, strong leadership skills and proven ability to lead a team, make independent decisions, able to influence others and ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Working knowledge of other discipline scope and interfaces, roles and responsibilities.
Knowledge and experience with Requests for Information (RFIs), Method Statements, safety plans, quality plans and traffic control plans for compliance with contract documents and Non-Conformance/Compliance Reports (NCRs).
Experience in reviewing and interpreting contract documents.
Experience in development, review, updating and implementation of procedures and technical specifications for civil discipline.
Experience in performing field inspections, approval and sign-off of works.
Capable of working across multiple construction sites and contracts.
Middle East work experience.
A strong understanding of construction means, methods and requirements, including experience reviewing Contractors’ submittals, work method statements, safety plans, quality plans and traffic control plans for compliance with contract documents.
