Day to day operation of fleet ships. Dealing with non-conformity covering technical procedures of the S.M.S. both ashore and afloat. Liaising with D.P.A. on training requirements for staff. Ensuring that statutory and classification surveys for all plant and equipment on fleet ships are carried out in time. Day to day monitoring of repairs and preparations for dry docking. Investigating accidents reports regarding safety, machinery failures and any resulting insurance claims. Ensuring that the goods and services required for the efficient operation of the vessels are expedited to those ship's without delay. Conducting superintendent's inspection on board. Monitor ships operations by frequent inspection of log books, ship's safety meeting minutes, shipboard reviews of S.M.S. and safety audits.
