VAM Systems is currently looking for Technical Support Engineer for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:

Skills Required
• Minimum 5 years in IT industry with experience in Technical Support Services
• Minimum 3 new installation and 3 migration projects.
• Very strong in relationship building, monitoring, controlling, driving, and influencing behaviour
• Very strong in budgeting, planning and staff management & development
• Strong listener, sensitive and understanding
• Strong in information gathering, analytical, problem management and change management skills
• Strong understanding of Networking, Hardware systems lifecycle and strategy development
• Good in contract / Vendor management, human resources and IT training
• Good office productivity tools skills
• Good English communication and writing skills.
• Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills

Certifications and Experiences
• Must be a Graduate / Post graduate in Engineering or with relevant technologies.
• Must be holders from professional certifications from reputed organizations for the relevant disciplines.
• Must have strong technical ability to trouble shoot and to provide support services.
• Should be certified with Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
• Must have experiences in migrating and installation Microsoft windows Client software.
• Must have experiences in repairing, installation and managing PCs, Macintosh Machines and peripheral equipment like printers, scanners…etc.
• Must have experiences in using ghosting software like Acronis.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Implementing / Deploying Windows clients & Windows based servers and peripherals
• Implementing / Deploying Group Policy to Manage the User / Desktop Environment & to manage Software
• Configuring / Supporting connectivity between operating systems, internet access for a network & peripherals etc
• Troubleshooting Windows Network Services, Client Computers, Printers, Scanners and other peripherals etc.
• Installing and Maintaining (Deploying, Updating etc) the Microsoft office components, device drivers & Antivirus software's etc.
• Delegating Administrative Control
• Monitoring and Reporting
• Provide policies and standards documents for naming conventions that will include the organization's IT standards.
• Resolve existing problems with the client machines (Network protocols, Network addressing, drivers, hardware/peripherals failures, reconfigure machines, reconnect/re-patch network components etc
• Propose minor upgrades after evaluating current setup and bottle necks (HDD upgrades, Ram upgrades, Peripherals updates etc)
• Distribute and install new drivers, software patches, service packs and software packages etc.
• Maintain/Update Antivirus definitions
• Assists staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
• Maintain/Update Antivirus definitions
• Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
• Works with Help Desk and Network Operations staff as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from clients.
• Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment.
• desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems.
• Trains and orients staff on use of hardware and software.
• Recommends and / or performs upgrades on systems to ensure longevity.
• Works with procurement staff to purchase hardware and software.
• Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for purchases.
• Orders computer supplies.
• Assists in maintaining LAN/WAN records and, as appropriate, telephone systems cable.
• Troubleshoot issues and support for desktop and enterprise applications, local/networking printing, e-mail, connectivity, remote access, and hardware issues.
• Troubleshoot and replace laptop and PC hardware such as CD-Rom, hard drive, floppy drive, motherboard, power supply, computer fan, NIC, monitors, LCD screens, and warranty repairs.
• Training room setup, hardware upgrades, hardware disposal, loaner program, asset inventory, software inventory, remote imaging, new hire setup, termination, relocation, remote and automated updates, and remote support.
• Handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for difficult user problems, referring more complex problems to next level of technical staff.
• Participate in IT Support queue which will result in assigning and prioritizing open issues.
• Log, prioritize, assign and troubleshoot all calls, voicemails, emails, trouble tickets and walk-up requests reporting technical problems. When appropriate, determine appropriate group for escalation.
• Manage customer issues and requests by creating, tracking and documenting technical solutions.
• Manage deliverables associated with a project by prioritizing, tracking, and completing assigned tasks.
• Build\deploy new workstations (desktop & laptop PC's) using Ghost.
• Install\upgrade hardware\software on Windows workstations.
• Troubleshoot assigned tickets to determine if issue can be resolved or determine appropriate group for escalation.
• Develop credibility with customers by providing timely/accurate support and maintaining positive relations through effective customer follow-up.
• Shift and/or off hours work may be required as needed.
• Must be available on call 24/7.
• Must be available to travel domestically
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Assists staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology. Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines.
• Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems.
• The position utilizes one-on-one consultancy to end users and other staff.
• The employee in this position also assists in the maintenance and testing of network servers and associated equipment.
• The position’s responsibilities require independent analyses, communication and problem solving.
• Work is performed with little supervision and requires initiative and judgment.

Joining time frame: (15 - 30 days)

The selected candidates shall join VAM Systems - Bahrain and shall be deputed to one of the leading Organizations in Bahrain.
