DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Purchase spare parts & components for the plant from the local market, in line with the approved cost & quality.
• Support the purchasing function and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.
• Maintain and update a list of suppliers with their products, costs and brands.
• Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers to make business savings.
• Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is maintained with all suppliers.
• Ensure quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.
• Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.
• Responsible for the scheduling, preparation, processing of purchase orders/ documents and the issue of order in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management
• Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Must have a valid Kuwaiti Driving License
• Technical Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Any discipline
• 8-10 Years of previous experience with solid knowledge and understanding of local market suppliers.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
• High level of ethics, integrity and honesty dealing with suppliers.
• Must have experience using MS Office and experience with an ERP system.
• Work independently and are comfortable making decision.
• Thrive in a collaborative work environment.
