Key Responsibilities:

• Perform coding and abstracting of medical documents, including diagnostic and procedural information.
• Research, analyze, and assess data for company software needs.
• Audit clinical documentation to ensure accurate coding for reimbursement and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for coding staff, providing guidance and training.
• Identify and address documentation discrepancies, quality of care, and billing issues.
• Train, mentor, and assist in the professional development of coding staff.
• Manage special projects and assist leadership as required.

Qualification & Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in medical coding.
• Strong skills in administration, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and coding software.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

• Diploma or equivalent.
