Job Purpose:
Undertake specialized steelwork and pressure vessel fabrication and repair for all equipment/structures from ADNOC LNG (JV and ASR) Plants, ADNOC Offshore and other non-industrial areas using the associated tools and equipment according to prescribed standards of quality.
Job Specific Accountabilities:
Accountability 1:
• Performs the work of Boilermaker and uses the associated tools and equipment.
• Receives instructions, work orders and sketches from Specialist Welding-Metallurgy, receives materials, spare parts and tools and performs assigned work.
• Measures and marks out a wide range of items on sheet metal and plate metal for cutting out.
• Fabricates parts for and repairs / maintains various equipment such as heat exchanger vessels, tanks, steam boilers, evaporator units, drainage lines etc.
• Uses a variety of sheet metal tools, such as snips, hand operated bending machines, plating machines, etc. to cut from and shape all types of sheet metal as required.
• Re-tubes and repairs condensers and exchanger tube bundles using a range of shop equipment’s and portable air-operated tools.
• Operates oxy-acetylene burning gear both hand-held and semi-automatic, such as B.O.C. pug cutter, etc. in performing assigned work.
• Reconditions materials, such as tubes, tower trays, caps, etc. for use on assigned job.
• Installs cladding on pipelines and vessel insulation.
• Performs other related duties such as practicing good housekeeping in Central Workshops and on-site.

Training:
• Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.
Tool Box:
• Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.
Time Management:
• Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability:
• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.
Housekeeping:
• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.
Reports:
• Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
• Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.
Communications & Working Relationships:
Internal:
• Has routine contact with work associates and personnel of same level in various Sections of the Central Workshops as applicable.
External:
• Service order Contractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Minimum Qualification:
• Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field of fabrication maintenance.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills:
• 4 years of experience, in boiler making and/or tin smiting in the Oil &Gas or petrochemical industry.
Professional Certifications:
• As required by the Company.
Technical Competencies:
• Good understanding of Quality Standard codes compliance and capable of resolving safety issues.
• Knowledge of the approved methods, material, tools, occupational hazards, proper safety precaution required at the work and equipment utilized in electrical installation and maintenance.
