Responsibilities:
Inspecting
QC inspectors examine products at various stages of production or delivery, using calipers, gauges, and micrometers to measure dimensions and aesthetics. They also inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity.
Testing
QC inspectors use electronic inspection equipment and software to test products. They also operate and maintain testing equipment to ensure it's accurate and reliable.
Documenting
QC inspectors record inspection results in reports, summarizing re-works and wastes. They also input data into quality databases.
Reporting
QC inspectors report inspection and test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, and quantities inspected. They also document defects, deviations, or non-conformities, and suggest corrective actions.
