Risk Engineer / Risk Assessment Surveyor – (Insurance)

Job Description:
Our client is a Multi-National Non- Life Insurance company, looking to hire a Risk Engineer / Risk Assessment Surveyor – (Insurance) who has experience in the Insurance industry.
You will be required to carry out Field visits to conduct Risk Assessment Survey - visit industrial sites, identify hazards (fire and natural catastrophe), evaluate and communicate the risk to the Underwriting Dept, present recommendations for risk improvement and undertake follow-up activities where required.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and evaluations for clients across various sectors in the Middle East.
• Analyze data and prepare detailed reports outlining potential risks, vulnerabilities, and recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with the underwriting Department to provide insights that influence policy underwriting and pricing decisions.
• Develop and maintain risk assessment methodologies and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of risk evaluations.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on risk management best practices, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging risks, and changes in regulations that may impact clients' risk profiles.
• Deliver presentations and training sessions to clients and internal teams on risk management strategies and findings.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Participate in risk management projects and initiatives aimed at improving operational performance and minimizing exposure to risks.
• Assist in the development of risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks that align with organizational goals.
• Stay abreast of latest loss prevention technology
Qualification for Position:
• Degree qualified (Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred)
• Some formal loss prevention training desirable i.e. with FM, IRI, Kemper
• High level knowledge of NFPA and/or FM loss prevention standards
• At least 4-5 years’ experience of conducting site visits, identifying hazards, quantifying the risk associated with these, developing risk improvements and providing ongoing support for the implementation
• UAE driving license will be an added advantage.
