Inspection of Electrical Equipment function test and Illumination level testing of lighting system. - Inspection of E&I installation cabinet Monitoring control cabinet wiring, Termination, cable routing & cable tray installation. - Inspection of Switch Gear Panel installation, Cable Termination and Bus bar torque.
1. Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field. In some cases, a Diploma or Certification in Engineering Technology (such as in
Electrical/Instrumentation) may be acceptable if coupled with extensive work experience.
• Additional certifications or training in electrical or instrumentation inspection, such as those from internationally recognized organizations (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, API, etc.), may be an advantage.
2. Work Experience:
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical and instrumentation (E&I) inspection, quality assurance, or quality control in oil & gas, petrochemical, construction, or maintenance industries.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of practical inspection experience with complex systems, including power generation, control systems, and instrumentation.
3. Industry-Specific Skills:
• Electrical Inspection: Experience in inspecting electrical equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, motors, cable systems, and electrical panels.
• Instrumentation Inspection: Experience in reviewing and inspecting instrumentation, control systems, sensors, and actuators, ensuring that systems meet technical specifications and safety standards.
• Hazardous Area Classification: Knowledge of inspection requirements for hazardous areas, such as explosive atmospheres, and the relevant standards.
• Codes & Standards: Familiarity with international standards and codes such as NEC, IEC, API, ASME, ISO, NFPA, and UL.
4. Technical Knowledge:
• Testing & Calibration: Proficient in performing testing and calibration of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring their functionality and safety.
• Inspection Procedures: Ability to develop and execute detailed inspection procedures, reports, and recommendations.
• Safety Standards: Solid understanding of safety practices in the energy and oil & gas sectors, including HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols and risk assessment techniques.
5. Certifications (Desirable):
• Saudi Aramco-specific certifications (where applicable).
• NACE or similar certifications for corrosion and material inspection (for some roles).
• QA/QC Certifications for inspectors, such as ISO 9001 or API certifications, may be helpful.
