Safety Officer
Job Location: UAE
Key Responsibilities :
• Develop and implement OHS policies and programs
• Advise and instruct employees on various safety-related topics, including noise levels and machinery use
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and enforce preventative measures to maintain a safe workplace
• Review existing policies and update them according to changing legislation
• Design and deliver OHS training for employees and executives
• Regularly inspect premises and personnel to identify potential issues or non-conformities
• Oversee installations, maintenance, and disposal of substances
• Intervene promptly to stop any unsafe acts or processes that pose a danger or unhealthy situation
• Analyze incidents, record findings, and investigate worker's compensation claims
• Publish reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
Essential Requirements :
• Proven experience as a Safety Officer
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., OSHA/EPA) and procedures
• Familiarity with potentially hazardous materials or practices
• Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
• Aptitude for data analysis and statistical reporting
• Proficiency in MS Office; working knowledge of safety management information systems is beneficial
• Superior organizational skills
• Diligence and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for presenting and explaining health and safety topics
• Bachelor's degree in safety management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
• Certificate in occupational health and safety is mandatory
