Currently in search of an IT Service Desk Technician for our client located in Oman, offering a long-term employment opportunity.

Qualifications required include a Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, along with experience in IT service desk, help desk, or comparable support roles.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Delivering first-line support for all IT-related inquiries and issues.
2. Logging, categorizing, and prioritizing incidents and service requests within the IT service management system.
3. Assisting with IT-related projects and initiatives as necessary.
4. Ensuring adherence to IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
5. Supporting IT Management in customer support initiatives.
6. Maintaining call logs and documenting daily activities in the IT service desk software (Manage Engine Service Desk Plus or SDP).
7. Coordinating the movement and maintenance of PC and peripheral equipment.
8. Overseeing the installation, repair, and upgrade of PC hardware in collaboration with suppliers.
9. Ensuring effective incident and problem management, including root cause analysis for complex issues encountered by end-users.
10. Coordinating personnel or equipment relocations, such as PC installations for new users, user account creation, desk phone/IP phone installation/configuration, and inspecting meeting room equipment, including cables and conferencing tools.
11. Implementing EHS safety protocols for the work area.
