Job Summary:
The OT Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the operating theater, ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. This role involves assisting the surgical team, preparing the operating room, and managing the post-operative care of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations.
Prepare and maintain the operating room with sterile equipment and supplies.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and ensure their comfort and safety during the procedure.
Administer medications and manage anesthesia under supervision.
Ensure the proper handling of surgical instruments and assist in sterile techniques.
Provide post-operative care, including patient monitoring and documentation.
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and hospital policies.
Assist in the preparation of surgical instruments and the cleanup of the operating area post-surgery.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid DHA License.
Proven experience in operating theater or similar healthcare settings.
Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical instruments, and patient care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with attention to detail.
