Fundamental Hospitality is hiring a skilled Sushi Sous Chef for a high-end Japanese Omakase restaurant launching soon in Dubai. The role requires a deep understanding of traditional sushi techniques, omakase-style service, and fluency in Japanese.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head Sushi Chef in daily kitchen operations and omakase service.
Prepare premium sushi and sashimi with precision, artistry, and consistency.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, product quality, and kitchen discipline.
Assist in training junior chefs and managing prep work and inventory.
Ensure smooth kitchen flow during service and uphold the integrity of the omakase experience.
Requirements:
Proven experience in sushi preparation, preferably in an omakase or fine dining setting.
Fluency in Japanese is mandatory; English is a plus.
Strong knife skills, product knowledge, and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, high-end environment.
