We are seeking an experienced Controlling Officer for Volkswagen Group Middle East in our Doha, Qatar office. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and controlling targets and budgets of the VWGME & VWGSME Group Back Office Functions to accomplish financial goals. You will oversee controlling areas such as CEO Office, HR, GFA & IT for both VWGSME and VWGME office as well as Mobility operations. Additionally, you will coordinate all financial transactions at VWGME.

Main Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and execute adequate controls and procedures to ensure predictable and consistent business development in controlling functions while fostering discipline and accountability in the use of limited resources.
Provide regular reporting and financial consultation to Responsible Managers of the Controlling Areas by rendering fact-based recommendations and advice on operational and strategic plans.
Manage special projects for the CFO.
Develop and deliver the Groups Planning Round (PR), Budget, and monthly forecast.
Align all Group and VWGME personnel & structural costs within the framework of the overall Planning Round (PR), Budget, and monthly forecast.
Track Group Cost and VWGME cost and margin development in line with SLA’s with Group Brands and Group Companies.
Develop and coordinate proper analysis and variation between actual and forecast for management reporting.
Monitor cost centre performance and communicate possible actions to budget custodians and Finance Director to minimize risk of exceeding the budget/SLA fees or creating negative variances.
Support the process of Tactical claim tracking from a controlling perspective for all brands.
Define and coordinate the invoicing process to VWGME customers.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial analysis, variances, and forecasting activities for P&L.
Prepare accurate financial key figures for management presentation, financial reviews, and Board of director meetings.
Operate in close cooperation with the Head of departments.
Perform standard and ad hoc analyses on company financials to support Group Finance Director with valuable financial inputs, including special projects.
Ensure corporate policies and procedures are adhered to in day-to-day business operations.
Evaluate new proposed procedures and ensure adherence to the Company’s established policies and procedures.
Coordinate with internal and external audit.
Record risks for GFA.
Actively operate, update, and implement financially related systems such as Nadin, IT, ISAC, FICO, KSRM, iServe, and Modulus.
Compute profitability calculations of all mobility vehicles in both VWGSME and VWGME and advise on bracket allocation.
Provide financial inputs to the Mobility Steering Committee.
Allocate costs to each cost centre and ensure timely payment to dealers.
Support the Tax Function in developing and implementing Tax compliance management systems and controls.
Ensure Tax implications are considered in financial planning and product pricing.
Support the Tax Function during Tax audits.
Keep abreast of current developments in the tax landscape in the region.

Key Competencies & Qualifications:

Master of Science in Business Management or equivalent degree with 3 years of relevant experience in the finance field.
Up to 5 years progressive experience with reputable entities in Finance and Accounting.
Knowledge of (management-) accounting methods and instruments.
Proficiency in relevant office applications.
Analytical & problem-solving skills, performance-driven, strategic thinker, fostering innovation to improve services.
Ability to guide, motivate, and develop people.
Proven professional and clear communication skills with multiple stakeholders.
