We are seeking an experienced Sales Director for the Škoda Brand at Volkswagen Group Middle East. In this role, you will develop and implement long-term sales strategies for the region to ensure optimal performance at both importer and distributor levels. You will also ensure effective sales and distribution principles (targets, processes) to contribute towards achieving the overall objectives of the Škoda brand and company goals. Additionally, you will be fully responsible for achieving retail sales targets, fleet sales targets, used car development, market share targets, and adherence to Tactical Budgets
Main Responsibilities:
Define and implement long-term sales strategies to increase Škoda market share in the Near/Middle East
Plan and allocate annual sales volumes per market, ensuring targets are met
Oversee sales, production, and distribution planning
Develop and execute sales promotion campaigns, including bonus and margin systems
Manage relationships with key fleet sales customers and prepare fleet tenders
Implement and improve the used car business, including the introduction of Škoda Plus to the region
Plan and control retail and fleet sales budgets, as well as department expense budgets
Address customer inquiries and complaints
Conduct regular business meetings with partners to agree on volume and measures for target achievement
Develop necessary procedures and processes for the sales department
Prepare and participate in relevant meetings with HQ
Manage LAP volume planning and mix planning
Lead the sales team, ensuring all functions and tasks are implemented and completed
Ensure a clear succession plan is in place and provide adequate training and guidance
Meet all KPIs, goals, and targets of the sales team in a timely manner
Present market-specific reports to MD and AG monthly
Implement dealer standards through field force management
Promote all products efficiently to fully exploit market potential, in close liaison with Škoda marketing
Seek opportunities to increase volume and market share
Build and maintain premium business relationships with the partner network in the Middle East
Manage product launches from a sales perspective, ensuring adequate availability
Improve CSS by monitoring, implementing action plans, and setting KPI targets within the dealer network
Ensure proper application and monitoring of Škoda HQ support as per guidelines
Communicate effectively with all divisions of Škoda Middle East and VWGME
Conduct professional and premium press interviews as needed
Key Competencies & Qualifications:
For you to be successful for this role, you must possess below attributes:
University degree or equivalent job experience
A Master’s degree is preferred
12 to 20 years of experience within the Automotive Sales OEM industry, including knowledge of dealership operations, with at least 5 years in a wholesale distributor environment
Professional presentation and the ability to communicate at top management level, along with tertiary training and management experience in Retail and/or Wholesale sales
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to guide, motivate, and develop people
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
Proven professional and clear communication skills with multiple stakeholders
