JOB SUMMARY
The Irrigation Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing irrigation systems for landscaping and agricultural projects. This includes optimizing water usage, selecting suitable irrigation methods, and overseeing installation and maintenance. The role involves technical planning, on-site coordination, and ensuring efficient system performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee on-site installation, ensuring proper system setup, alignment, and functionality.
Preparing the material list required for the project as per approved shop drawings. Assign the procurement team for purchase.
Analyze soil, climate, and water sources for irrigation planning.
Conduct system testing, check for inefficiencies, and implement improvements.
Work with technical engineers, landscape architects, and contractors to ensure project alignment and adherence to local guidelines.
Monitor system performance, recommend upgrades, and establish preventive maintenance schedules.
Maintain records of designs, site inspections, and project progress.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in irrigation system design and implementation, preferably in the UAE.
Strong knowledge of irrigation hydraulics, piping systems, and water conservation strategies.
Experience with irrigation design software (AutoCAD, GIS, or similar).
Knowledge of Abu Dhabi’s water regulations and environmental policies.
Valid UAE driving license preferred.
