Purpose and Scope of the Job
Responsible for providing financial and administrative clerical duties associated with the provision of hospital utilities and services in order to ensure that hospital financial transactions are processed in an accurate and timely manner. She/he will be under direct supervision, to perform a variety of office support and/or secretarial duties for a specified unit/department.
Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards:
Maintains and updates the general and standard journal entries.
Reviews a process routine accounting data.
Prepares paper work on accounts payable/receivable, cost reimbursement and other billings for processing: develop and maintain supporting work sheets.
Performs reconciliation of accounts and performs the allocation of the collection received from the Customers/Insurance companies.
Coordinates with assigned insurance companies and collect information related to funds received from various insurance companies/embassy and credit companies.
Assists in the yearly External Audit process.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Ensures safety standards (occupational and patient safety) are compiled.
Ensures quality and patient safety practices are followed (occupational and patient safety).
Provides and promotes people centered care.
Promotes inclusive health by providing equitable and accessible care to patients and families with special needs.
Qualifications, Competences and Skills :
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or equivalent.
Experience: 2-3 years of related experience
Licensure: Not Applicable
Language: Proficiency in English, Arabic would be an added advantage
Computer Proficiency: Good computer skills
Performance Competencies
Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information, word processing and/or data entry skills.
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, organizing and coordinating skills.
Ability to perform simple accounting procedures, records maintenance skills.
Knowledge, skills and attitudes through completion of certification study in accounting/bookkeeping program combined with related experience. Equivalencies will be considered.
Principle Working Relationships and Remarks:
Finance Staffs, Hospital Staff
