Responsibilities:
Inspect vehicle body damage and assess repair requirements.
Repair dents, dings, and other surface damage using tools such as hammers, dollies, and hydraulic jacks.
Remove and replace damaged panels, fenders, bumpers, and other body parts.
Weld and realign chassis or frame components when necessary.
Sand, fill, and smooth repaired surfaces in preparation for painting.
Ensure proper fit and alignment of replacement panels and parts.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Collaborate with painters and mechanics for full vehicle repair process.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Keep records of repairs and time spent on each job.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as an auto denter or in a similar role.
Knowledge of metalworking tools and techniques.
Familiarity with various vehicle body materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, fiberglass).
Ability to read and understand repair manuals and technical drawings.
Good hand-eye coordination and physical strength.
Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Vocational training or certification in auto body repair.
Experience with modern auto repair equipment and technologies.
Work Environment:
Workshop or auto body shop.
May involve standing for long periods, lifting heavy parts, and exposure to dust, noise, and fumes.
