Senior Procurement Engineer
Job Location : Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the procurement activities for large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with ADNOC’s procurement standards and industry best practices.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and contractors, ensuring they meet ADNOC’s quality, safety, and compliance standards.
• Prepare and manage procurement strategies, including cost analysis, supplier negotiations, and contracts.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and other teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors, ensuring long-term partnerships that align with project and organizational goals.
• Review and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance with specifications, and timely delivery of goods and services.
• Manage the full procurement cycle, including issuing tenders, evaluating bids, preparing contracts, and ensuring post-delivery support.
• Monitor procurement performance, track KPIs, and provide regular updates to senior management on procurement status, cost savings, and any potential risks or issues.
• Ensure that procurement documentation, records, and reports are maintained in compliance with ADNOC and company policies.
• Resolve any procurement-related issues, such as supplier disputes, delays, or quality concerns, to ensure minimal disruption to project timelines.
Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in procurement engineering, specifically within the ADNOC framework or similar oil and gas projects.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supply chain management.
• Expertise in contract negotiation, supplier evaluation, and cost management.
• Experience working with ADNOC’s procurement guidelines, policies, and quality standards.
• Proficiency with procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ACONEX, or similar systems).
• Strong knowledge of procurement laws and regulations specific to the oil and gas industry.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and deliver results within tight timelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or similar certifications are preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
