The Land Surveyor is responsible for conducting precise measurements and surveys of land, boundaries, and construction sites to determine property lines, prepare maps, and support construction, development, and land management projects. The role involves utilizing advanced surveying equipment, interpreting legal descriptions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field surveys using total stations, GPS, levels, and other surveying instruments to collect accurate data.
Establish property boundaries, topographical features, and construction layouts based on project requirements.
Interpret and analyze legal descriptions, maps, and plans to prepare detailed survey reports.
Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, sketches, and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure survey data aligns with project specifications.
Conduct site inspections to monitor and verify survey work during various project phases.
Ensure all survey activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to process and analyze survey data.
Assist in the planning and execution of land development projects, including subdivision, boundary adjustments, and construction staking.
Keep abreast of new surveying technologies and methods to improve accuracy and efficiency.
