The Network Officer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure connectivity across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Implement security measures to protect network data and infrastructure from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities.
Maintain documentation of network configurations, IP schemas, and other technical details.
Conduct regular network audits and performance analysis.
Collaborate with IT teams and vendors for system upgrades, repairs, and procurement of network equipment.
Provide technical support and training to staff regarding network-related issues.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards related to network security and data privacy.
Prepare reports on network performance, incidents, and improvement plans.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as a Network Technician, Network Engineer, or similar role.
Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall configurations.
Experience with network monitoring tools and security solutions.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills.
