Job Description Summary:

The Accounting Specialist collaborates with other members of the team in their execution of Monthly Financial Accounting and Closing activities and oversees parts of the general accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) endorsed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other standards and pronouncements issued by the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA). Activities also included finalizing tax audits and collaboration with other departments to ensure proper compliance with Saudi Tax Laws, and managing and maintaining cash flow and liquidity efficiently.

Operational Roles & Responsibilities:

Coordinate the creation and reporting of periodical financial statements and actively participate in the JHAH financial statement closing process as assigned to ensure timely and accurate accounting management and statutory reporting
Maintain the General and Subsidiary Ledgers to measure and record JHAHs assets liabilities revenues costs and expenditures
Perform internal review of accounting and administrative controls to ensure adequate controls are in place to prevent or detect irregularities related to recognition measurement recording and reporting of financial transactions
Execute timely payment of all JHAH medicalrelated claims to contracted medical facilities and eligible patients
Prepare or update JHAHs financial policies and procedures based on best practices applicable to the healthcare industry
Define cash management guidelines and principles to secure effective cash management practices including cash forecasting to ensure appropriate cash position and minimize possible cash shortfall
Prepare or update JHAHs financial policies and procedures based on best practices applicable to the healthcare industry
Support external and internal audit teams during their regular Review of JHAH operations that involve financialrelated compliance andor governance
Participate in adhoc JHAH project teams and activities which includes but not limited to operational controls business related expansion and planningfeasibility etc
to achieve given targets

Minimum Education Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent. Master’s Degree preferred

Professional Certifications Required
CPA, CA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent certification

Years of Experience
Minimum 9 years' experience (ideally in the Healthcare industry preferred)
