Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed inspections of offshore construction, installation, and maintenance activities on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS).
Verify compliance with applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications during offshore operations.
Monitor welding, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and structural activities performed on the OCS platform.
Review and approve inspection documentation, including welding procedures, test reports, and certification records.
Identify non-conformities, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions with construction and maintenance teams.
Ensure all activities follow safety protocols and environmental regulations specific to offshore operations.
Perform visual inspections, dimensional checks, and testing of equipment, materials, and structures in the offshore environment.
Liaise with project engineers, safety officers, and client representatives to facilitate smooth inspection processes.
Maintain accurate records of inspection activities, reports, and quality documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Participate in progress meetings, safety audits, and incident investigations related to offshore activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 8+ years of experience in offshore oil & gas inspection, with specific experience on the Outer Continental Shelf preferred.
In-depth knowledge of offshore construction and maintenance standards, including API, ASME, IEC, and relevant offshore safety standards.
Proven experience inspecting welding, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and structural works offshore.
Valid certifications such as CSWIP, AWS, API, HSE Offshore certificates, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of offshore safety protocols, HSE regulations, and environmental considerations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and specifications specific to offshore projects.
Excellent observational, reporting, and communication skills.
Ability to work in challenging offshore environments and adapt to shift work schedules.
