The Electro.-neurodiagnostic Technologist assists with routine Electro.-neurodiagnostic monitoring of patients in the neuro.-lab and surgical operating room which includes but not limited to: collecting patient's Electro.-neurodiagnostic data in the neuro.-lab or surgical operating room and providing preliminary interpretation of the Electro.-neurodiagnostic reports in order to to preserve and improve the patient's peri.-surgical neurological function, promote best practices in monitoring to enhance patient care and safety outcomes and ensure compliance with electrical and hazardous material safety protocols.

Recognize and address technical and physiological challenges in complex environments and contribute to the overall effectiveness of patient care strategies Additionally use knowledge of safety protocols and equipment management supports risk mitigation and enhances procedural efficiency within the healthcare system
Utilize knowledge of neuroanatomy and anesthesia to interpret data and communicate findings effectively to surgical teams and neurophysiology EEG monitoring seizure semiology and seizure precautions to perform longterm epilepsy monitoring safely and effectively
Perform and ensure delivering accurate and highquality interpretation of neurophysiologic studies in the neurolab or surgical operating room and communicate that effectively with the treating provider or surgeon onsite
Promote best practices in monitoring to enhance patient care and safety outcomes

Conduct basic and routine neurodiagnostic procedures eg EEG routine and continuous NCS EP
receive supervision to conduct intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring in the neurosurgical operating room
Ensure accurate electrode placement and waveform optimization
Identify and resolves technical and physiological issues in diverse clinical settings
Calibrate and operate neurodiagnostic equipment
Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions
Minimum Education Required
Bachelors degree in Neurophysiology (Neuroscience Technology). Certification/competency in five (3) or more neurodiagnostic modalities for both adult and pediatric patients
Professional Certifications Required
SCFHS certification as applicable
Years of Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in routine electro neurodiagnostic testing under the supervision of a qualified physician/neurophysiologist
