Key Responsibilities:
Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, etc., on welded and fabricated steel components.
Interpret NDT results and prepare detailed inspection reports.
Ensure testing complies with relevant standards and specifications.
Identify and document defects or irregularities in welds and materials.
Coordinate with QC inspectors and fabrication team for testing schedules.
Maintain NDT equipment and ensure calibration is up-to-date.
Follow safety protocols during testing procedures.
Requirements:
Certification in NDT methods (e.g., ASNT Level II or equivalent).
Proven experience in NDT inspection for steel structures or fabrication.
Knowledge of applicable standards and codes (ASME, ASTM, etc.).
Good analytical and reporting skills.
Ability to work on an hourly or rental basis.
