Position Overview:
The AV Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual systems, ensuring high-quality performance in corporate, control room, and event environments. The role involves working with a wide range of equipment, including display solutions, video conferencing systems, audio systems, CCTV, and video wall installations, while ensuring all work meets industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and test audiovisual systems including projectors, displays, video walls, sound systems, and conferencing solutions.
Set up and operate AV equipment for meetings, conferences, and events, ensuring optimal sound and video quality.
Integrate AV systems with existing ICT infrastructure, including network switches, servers, and control systems.
Perform structured cabling, terminations, and labeling for AV and network devices.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair AV equipment issues in a timely manner.
Provide user training and technical support for AV systems to ensure smooth daily operations.
Maintain inventory of AV equipment, tools, and consumables.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.
Work closely with project managers, IT teams, and other technicians to deliver projects on time.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as an AV Technician or similar role in the audiovisual/ICT industry.
Strong knowledge of AV systems, video conferencing platforms, and control room solutions.
Familiarity with brands such as Cisco, Samsung, Milestone, Axis, Honeywell, and other industry-standard products.
Competence in structured cabling, signal routing, and equipment rack building.
Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and follow technical documentation.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with large-scale video wall installations and control room environments.
Understanding of IP-based AV systems and network integration.
Certification in AV technology (e.g., CTS, Crestron, Extron, or similar) is an advantage
