The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related mechanical components in various vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical issues in diesel engines and related equipment.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
Repair or replace worn or damaged parts, including pistons, valves, fuel injectors, and transmission components.
Test and troubleshoot engine systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and vehicles.
Collaborate with other technicians and team members to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
Relevant technical diploma or certification in Diesel Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good physical condition and manual dexterity.
