We are seeking a reliable and experienced Telehandler Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers to move materials, goods, and equipment on construction sites or other job locations. You will play an essential role in ensuring that materials are moved safely and efficiently to various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a telehandler to move materials, equipment, and supplies to designated areas.
Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and place them in safe locations.
Ensure the telehandler is regularly inspected and maintained, reporting any issues immediately.
Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Coordinate with site managers, contractors, and other workers to move materials according to the schedule.
Assist in loading and unloading construction materials on job sites.
Perform basic equipment maintenance, such as checking oil, fuel levels, and tire pressure.
Maintain accurate logs of material movements and usage.
Requirements:
Valid telehandler certification and/or relevant operator’s license.
Proven experience as a telehandler operator, preferably in construction or industrial settings.
Excellent understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
Ability to read and follow instructions (e.g., blueprints, plans).
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and equipment.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with different types of heavy equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes, backhoes).
Knowledge of construction materials and techniques.
First Aid or other safety certifications are a plus.
