The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the timely procurement of quality materials at the best possible prices. The role involves managing supplier relationships, maintaining procurement records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify potential suppliers and conduct supplier evaluations.
Prepare and issue purchase orders, RFQs, and tenders.
Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
Monitor market trends and price fluctuations.
Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs.
Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain supplier database.
Assist in inventory management and stock control.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
Good negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
Familiarity with procurement software and MS Office.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
