The Leasing Consultant is responsible for assisting prospective tenants in finding suitable rental properties, managing lease agreements, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure a positive leasing experience. They act as the primary point of contact between the property management and prospective or current tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist prospective tenants by providing information about available properties, features, and lease terms.
Conduct property tours and showcase units to interested clients.
Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
Screen prospective tenants by verifying employment, rental history, and creditworthiness.
Prepare and process lease applications and agreements accurately.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property availability, policies, and local rental market trends.
Coordinate move-in and move-out inspections.
Follow up with prospective tenants to convert inquiries into lease agreements.
Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, or issues professionally and escalate when necessary.
Maintain organized records of leasing activities and tenant documentation.
Support marketing efforts to attract prospective tenants (e.g., advertising vacant units).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
Prior experience in real estate, property management, or leasing is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Customer service-oriented mindset.
Knowledge of local property laws and lease agreements.
Proficiency in MS Office and property management software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
