Procurement Engineer
Job Location : United Arab Emirates
Key Responsibilities :
• Procurement Process Management: Oversee and coordinate the procurement process during the bidding, tendering, and project stages, including supplier selection, prequalification, and RFQs, particularly for ADNOC projects.
• Project Guidance and Support: Advise and support project teams on procurement matters, prepare procurement plans, and share knowledge and expertise with team members to ensure smooth project execution.
• Supplier Quotation and Negotiation: Review and compare supplier quotations, conduct effective negotiations, and develop contracts with suppliers, ensuring the best possible terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Contract and Supplier Performance Management: Monitor contracts and delivery agreements, assess supplier performance, and implement improvement plans to address any issues and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Process Optimization: Contribute to improving procurement processes within projects and the department by continuously evaluating and optimizing the list of preferred suppliers.
• Cost Management & Forecasting: Analyze market trends, forecast buying needs, and predict potential supply chain disruptions, aligning these insights with the company's budget and inventory needs to ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services and to negotiate the best possible terms for the company.
• Inventory Control: Implement effective inventory management practices to prevent shortages or excesses and ensure smooth business operations while reducing costs.
• Contract Drafting and Legal Compliance: Draft clear and legally sound contracts, ensuring that all terms and conditions are beneficial to the company and compliant with applicable laws.
• ERP & Software Proficiency: Utilize ERP systems and advanced data analysis tools, particularly ACONEX , to manage supplier data, monitor pricing trends, and track inventory levels efficiently.
Requirements :
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering.
• Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)
• Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM)
• In-depth understanding of ADNOC procurement processes
• Proficient in ERP systems and software tools ACONEX.
• Should be Proficient in interpreting schematics and drawings using CADD and BrisCAD applications.
