Key Responsibilities
-Procure structural steel, accessories, and fabrication consumables required for PEB projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery to meet production schedules.
-Obtain and compare supplier quotations for steel coils, plates, bolts, paint, and welding materials; prepare basic comparison sheets for review and approval.
-Issue accurate Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved BOQs and drawings, and follow up on supplier documentation including test certificates, mill reports, and invoices.
-Coordinate with the Finance team to facilitate payments via LCs (for international suppliers) and PDCs (for local vendors), ensuring timely release to avoid project delays.
-Monitor delivery timelines and supplier performance, and work closely with stores, production, and logistics teams to ensure materials arrive as per project deadlines.
-Maintain updated procurement logs, including steel grade records, order tracking sheets, and material cost registers, while complying with safety and HSE protocols in handling and storage.

Qualifications & Competencies
Education: BE in Mechanical Engineering (Fresher’s welcome) or any graduate with minimum 2 years of procurement experience, especially in technical items.

Skills:
– Familiarity with ERP procurement modules
– Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
– Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English
