We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Lead HSE Engineer to oversee health, safety, and environmental management within our Oil & Gas operations, with a focus on piping systems and shutdown activities. The ideal candidate will bring extensive industry experience, particularly with ADNOC standards, and possess proven leadership in HSE practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and standards aligned with ADNOC and international best practices.
Lead HSE risk assessments, hazard identification, and risk mitigation strategies specifically for piping and shutdown operations.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety reviews to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
Coordinate and lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions for site personnel.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards and facilitate ISO audits as a Lead Auditor.
Manage HSE documentation, reports, and records for internal and external audits.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure safety during plant shutdowns, piping works, and maintenance activities.
Promote a safety culture across all levels, ensuring continuous improvement in HSE performance.
Liaise with ADNOC authorities and other regulatory bodies for compliance and reporting.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive measures.
Stay updated with industry trends, legislation, and best practices in HSE.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
15+ years of experience in HSE management within the Oil & Gas industry, preferably with ADNOC.
Proven expertise in piping and shutdown safety management.
Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO Lead Auditor.
Strong knowledge of ADNOC HSE standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
Experience in conducting HSE audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive safety culture.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple safety-critical projects simultaneously.
