The Lead QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and quality control activities on ADNOC oil & gas projects, with a focus on piping and shutdown operations. The role requires ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations. The candidate will lead a team of QA/QC inspectors and coordinate with construction, engineering, and procurement teams to deliver defect-free and compliant project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures, plans, and standards aligned with ADNOC and international codes.
Lead and supervise QA/QC inspections for piping, shutdown activities, and related operations.
Review and approve welding procedures, NDE reports, material certificates, and inspection reports.
Ensure all QA/QC activities comply with ISO standards, NACE, AWS, and other relevant certifications.
Conduct audits and assessments to verify compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and non-conformances.
Participate in quality meetings, progress reviews, and client audits.
Oversee documentation, reporting, and record-keeping related to QA/QC activities.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality-related issues.
Mentor and guide QA/QC inspectors and team members.
Ensure safety standards are maintained during all QA/QC activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or equivalent)
15+ years of experience in QA/QC within the Oil & Gas industry, specifically ADNOC projects preferred
Proven expertise in piping, shutdown maintenance, welding, and NDE techniques
Certifications: CSWIP 3.1 / AWS, NACE, ISO Lead Auditor
Strong knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, ISO, NACE, and ADNOC specifications
Experience in managing large-scale QA/QC teams and activities
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities
