The IT Assistant provides technical support and assistance to ensure the smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems. The role involves troubleshooting issues, maintaining IT equipment, and assisting with the implementation of IT projects to support organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to staff and users for hardware, software, and network issues.
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software problems.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure proper documentation.
Support network administration tasks, including user account setup and access permissions.
Assist in routine maintenance and updates of IT systems.
Ensure data security by following organizational policies and procedures.
Support the setup and configuration of new devices and systems.
Coordinate with vendors for repairs, upgrades, and procurement of IT equipment.
Document technical procedures and user guides.
Assist in training staff on new software or hardware tools.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience in hardware and software support.
Basic knowledge of networking, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and security protocols.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
