We are seeking an experienced and proactive Workshop In-charge to manage the repair, maintenance, and servicing operations for vehicles and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising workshop staff, ensuring timely and cost-effective maintenance, and maintaining a high standard of safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of the workshop, including scheduling maintenance and repair work.
Supervise mechanics, technicians, and support staff to ensure productivity and quality standards.
Plan and prioritize servicing of company vehicles and heavy equipment to minimize downtime.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and oversee appropriate repairs.
Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and parts inventory logs.
Coordinate with procurement for spare parts and workshop supplies.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance checks.
Analyze breakdown patterns and recommend long-term solutions to reduce recurring issues.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure workshop operations align with project timelines and operational needs.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools.
Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in maintenance management software and MS Office.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Valid driving license is a plus.
