The Molecular Biology Technologist is responsible for conducting laboratory tests and experiments using molecular biology techniques to analyze biological samples. They support research and diagnostic activities by preparing samples, performing assays, interpreting results, and maintaining lab equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, process, and analyze biological samples using molecular biology techniques such as PCR, RT-PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, and sequencing.
Conduct routine and specialized molecular assays for diagnostics, research, or quality control.
Maintain accurate records of experiments, procedures, and results.
Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with scientists, clinicians, and other lab staff on research projects and diagnostic testing.
Prepare reagents, buffers, and solutions as per protocols.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Genetics, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
3 - 5 years of experience in a molecular biology or clinical laboratory setting preferred.
Knowledge of molecular biology techniques and laboratory best practices.
