A Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure projects. The role ensures technical, safety, and regulatory standards are met throughout all phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed designs, layouts, and technical drawings using software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
Conduct site inspections, surveys, and feasibility studies.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
Estimate material quantities and costs; assist with budgeting and procurement.
Monitor progress and provide regular updates to project management.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Review technical submissions and construction documents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.Tech / B.E or equivalent).
Professional certification or license (e.g., PE, RICS, or equivalent) is an advantage.
3 – 5 years of experience in civil or structural engineering projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Civil 3D, MS Project, or similar tools.
Familiarity with local building codes and construction standards
