The Marine and Logistics Superintendent is responsible for managing marine transport and logistics operations, ensuring efficient vessel management, cargo handling, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures the smooth movement of goods and materials while maintaining safety, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and supervise marine logistics operations, including vessel scheduling and cargo handling
Ensure compliance with maritime laws, environmental regulations, and company policies
Coordinate with shipping agents, port authorities, and suppliers to optimize logistics
Monitor cargo loading/unloading and storage to prevent damage and delays
Oversee maintenance, inspections, and certifications of vessels and equipment
Manage documentation such as bills of lading, customs declarations, and shipping manifests
Develop and implement operational procedures and safety standards
Analyze logistics performance metrics and report to management
Lead and supervise marine and logistics teams, providing training and guidance
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly
