The Glendale International School Lab Assistant supports science teachers by preparing laboratory materials and equipment, assisting during practical lessons, and maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and organize laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials for science classes.
Assist teachers in setting up experiments and demonstrations safely.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the school laboratory, ensuring proper storage of all items.
Monitor and manage inventory of lab supplies, and notify when restocking is needed.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols during lab sessions to protect students and staff.
Help students use laboratory equipment correctly and safely during practical lessons.
Maintain accurate records of experiments conducted and lab inventory.
Regularly inspect and clean laboratory apparatus to ensure functionality.
Assist in the maintenance of safety equipment, including first aid kits and fire extinguishers.
Supervise students during laboratory sessions to promote safe and disciplined behavior.
Support teachers by preparing teaching aids related to laboratory work.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Graduate in laboratory technology or science preferred.
Basic knowledge of school science subjects and laboratory procedures.
Awareness of laboratory safety and hygiene standards.
