Premium Solutions Consultancy is hiring on behalf of a client for a critical role within the Planning & Cost Control Division – Project Control Department. We are seeking an experienced Project Control Engineer to support major project delivery through effective cost, schedule, and performance control.
📌 Job Title: Project Control Engineer
Location: Qatar
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Senior Project Control Engineer in monitoring project cost, schedule, and progress performance
• Review and oversee development of detailed project schedules by EPCC contractors
• Perform critical path analysis, float management, and resource loading
• Track physical progress, earned value, and schedule performance indicators
• Validate contractor progress and cost reports; prepare presentations for senior management
• Assist with budget planning, cash flow forecasting, and cost control strategies
• Monitor actual costs, commitments, and accruals against approved budgets
• Analyze cost variances and trends using Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques
• Evaluate cost and schedule impacts of scope changes and variation orders
• Support assessment of claims and Extension of Time (EOT) requests
• Conduct schedule and cost risk assessments and recommend mitigation actions
• Maintain accurate project control records, reports, and lessons learned
• Ensure compliance with Integrated Management Systems and HSEQ regulations
🔹 Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• Professional certification in Project Controls / Planning / Cost Engineering is an advantage
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with 3–5 years in major or large-scale projects
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and project control tools
• Hands-on experience in cost control, EVM, budgeting, and cash flow management
• Experience working with EPCC contractors on complex projects
• Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills
