Warehouse Manager

Job Location : Dubai, UAE

Key Responsibilities :

• Support contract manager to liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies as required. Planning & executing co-pack activities and meeting the target.
• Procurement of consumables required for co-pack activity and negotiating rates, raising tenders / quotations against proposal/orders.
• Lead issue resolution to identify root cause for material and finished good shortfalls, late or missed shipments, or case cuts resulting from insufficient or incorrectly located inventory and drive implementation of process changes to prevent reoccurrence.
• Conduct internal investigation to gather information in order to manage customer queries related to co-pack errors or damages. Adhere to safety procedures and practices.
• Ensure effective team management like proper work plan for assigned staff; assigns work activities; monitor and evaluate daily work, attend and participate in all meetings etc.
• Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information; implementing productivity, quality, and customer standards; inventory management, resolving problems and ensure effective communication with warehouse staff.
• Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles and recommending improvements. Ensure comprehensive documentations.
• Ensure that all vehicles, machinery and equipment are well maintained and fit for purpose.
• Effective and efficient management of departmental functions including timely & accurate reporting, meeting individual and team KPIs, KPI reports, PMS reviews, compliance reports, adherence to SOPs and policies handling complaints and grievances, managing customer expectations, provide timely business insights to management for decision making etc.
• Maintain sufficient records, logs, trackers, reconciliations and dashboards, responsible for cost effective internal training programs, ensure adherence to all rules and regulations including Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority, QHSE, and UAE Labor Law.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Management.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from accredited University.
• Minimum 15 years of experience of handling warehouse operations preferably in FMCG industry background with at least 5 years in UAE market.
• Relevant certification Supply Chain / Logistics will be an added advantage.
• Industry specific knowledge and general commercial and business awareness with deep understanding of local labor laws.
• Ability to effectively manage a large, diverse team of technical managerial/supervisory, professional, and support staff. Proven management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills with high work ethics.
• Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.
• Advanced skills in MS Office including excel.
• Valid UAE driving License will be an added advantage.
