Job Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, including motors, transformers, MCC switchgear, UPS, and VSB systems.
Issue and close work permit in compliance with safety procedures.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems, including high-criticality components.
Use SAP for updating and closing assigned work orders.
Take leadership roles when required, including guiding contractors and less experienced technicians.
Adhere to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
Review preventive maintenance procedures for all assigned equipment to ensure proper knowledge of tasks.
Read and interpret electrical manuals, specifications, and diagrams for accurate setup and testing.
Analyze equipment performance and participate in fault analysis and troubleshooting.
Use advanced testing tools and equipment for diagnosing complex electrical issues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure readiness for emergency repairs.
Minimum Qualification and Experience:
Diploma in electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 7 years of experience in working with electrical systems in any chemical / petrochemical industry.
Job Specific Skills:
Knowledge in Lock-out and Tag-out procedure.
Know how to read schematic diagrams, single line diagram, and control circuit diagram.
Can interpret electrical procedure and electrical safety procedure.
Knowledge of work permits procedure and ensuring the conditions in the specific procedures are implemented during the execution of work.
Basic background on electrical theory.
Good level of English speaking /writing and reading.
