Linum Consult’s client is a large international company currently seeking a hands-on Senior HSE Engineer with a background in major heavy industry projects to be based in their Doha office.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing and overseeing the Health, Safety, & Environmental management activities of the projects, under the guidance of the HSE Manager
• Leading the HSE Officers and monitoring on-site HSE performance, identifying potential hazards, and driving corrective & preventative actions to mitigate risks
• Conducting inspections, supporting HSE audits, preparing reports, and ensuring the consistent application of HSE procedures and practices across all project activities
• Ensuring the EPCC contractor has up-to-date, site-specific emergency response plans for: fire, chemical release, medical emergencies, and marine incidents
• Coordinating with emergency services and the company’s crisis management teams during drills and actual emergencies

Requirements:
• Degree qualification in an Engineering subject, with a relevant Professional Certification in Safety
• At least 10 years’ experience in HSE, with at least 5 years in major projects, ideally within the heavy industry sector
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Due to visa restrictions, our client can only consider candidates who are Western nationals
