General Ledger Accountant – Abu Dhabi (1 Year Contract)
Reach Group is currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced General Ledger Accountant to join its Finance team on a one-year contractual basis. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong core accounting expertise who can manage end-to-end general ledger activities while ensuring full compliance with IFRS standards.
The selected candidate will play a key role in overseeing month-end and year-end closings, intercompany accounting, financial reporting, and audit support, while contributing to continuous improvement within the GL function.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and maintain a comprehensive overview of the company’s accounts, general ledger, and reconciliations
Lead month-end closing activities and prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements
Manage intercompany transactions and perform timely reconciliations
Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support audit requirements
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of all financial records
Provide support for tax-related matters and fixed asset accounting
Identify and implement process improvements within the general ledger function
Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks, including ICFR compliance
Experience & Qualifications:
5–8 years of relevant accounting experience with strong core accounting knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
ACCA or CA qualification is mandatory (CIMA will also be considered)
Advanced knowledge of finance and accounting systems (SAP experience preferred)
Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in English with solid working knowledge of IFRS standards
