QA/QC Inspector

Job Location : Doha, Qatar

Responsibilities :

• Conduct Dry Film Thickness (DFT) measurements and check for adhesion, curing, and overall coating quality.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as NACE, SSPC, ISO 12944, and ASTM D standards.
• Perform wet film thickness (WFT) and dry film thickness (DFT) tests using calibrated instruments.
• Conduct adhesion tests (pull-off/tape tests) and holiday (spark) testing for coated surfaces.
• Prepare detailed inspection and test reports and submit findings to the QA/QC department.
• Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards in all painting/coating operations.
• Good knowledge in Excel.

Job Details :

• Mechanical BE/Diploma with CSWIP/BGAS, min 7-10 yrs exp in Oil & Gas Industry
• Experience: Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in painting inspection within the oil and gas piping industry.
• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• NACE CIP Level 1, 2, or 3 / SSPC PCI certification preferred.
• 3-7 years of experience as a Painting Inspector in the oil & gas, construction, or manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with coating types (epoxy, polyurethane, zinc primers, etc.).
• Experience with blasting techniques (sandblasting, grit blasting, shot blasting).
• Understanding of international coating and corrosion protection standards.
• Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) related to coating inspection.
