A reputable shipyard and marine services organization is hiring a skilled Procurement Officer – Shipyard to support its operational and project procurement activities in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi. This role is essential for ensuring uninterrupted supply of materials and services required for shipyard, marine, and offshore operations.
The position focuses on managing purchase requisitions, supplier sourcing, RFQs/RFPs, and procurement documentation while ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and delivery schedules. Key Responsibilities
Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for optimal commercial terms
Issue RFQs/RFPs and perform quotation analysis
Track deliveries and coordinate logistics to ensure timely material receipt
Ensure procured materials and services meet quality and technical specifications
Maintain accurate procurement records and vendor databases
Support cost-saving initiatives and long-term supplier relationships
Requirements & Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 3+ years of experience in shipyard, marine, or offshore procurement
Technical & Professional Skills:
Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities
Hands-on experience with ERP and procurement systems
Proficiency in MS Office and procurement documentation
Sound understanding of marine and offshore materials and services
